The selection offered by Samy’s is among some of the better selections we have seen. They carry camera supplies from lenses and lens accessories to bags and cases to film and dark room supplies and everything in between. It’s clear that Samy’s Camera caters to both amateur and professional photographers alike.

Payment Options:  

Samy’s Camera accepts most major credit cards including: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Samy’s Camera gift cards are also valid forms of payment.

Samy’s Camera does accept cashier’s checks and personal checks but these forms of payment will delay your order as all funds must be verified before any items are shipped.
 

Customer Support:  

Despite the extensive online selection of products Samy’s Camera doesn’t have an extensive customer support network. Of course there are the usual ways to contact them such as phone and email, but that is about it. There is a FAQ section which provides some basic information but it doesn’t provide an extensive list of questions that a typical customer may have. There are no live chat options or customer reviews for items. This is not a big deal for the professional photographer who knows what he wants, but the casual user might turn to another source for their information and ultimately, their purchase.

Shipping:  

Samy’s Camera ships most orders via FedEx. Each order’s shipping charge is determined by the size, weight, and to where the order is being shipped. Customers have the option of FedEx Ground, FedEx 2nd Day, FedEx Standard Overnight, and FedEx Priority Overnight. The shipping charges will increase for faster shipping methods.

Other:  

Samy’s Camera will apply a 15% restocking fee on all returned orders. This does not apply to exchanges however. If the customer exchanges for an item of equal or greater value there will be no restocking fee charged to the customer.

Samy’s Camera offers a vast array of camera supplies, products and services, unfortunately they don’t have the customer support that so many other companies offer. Of course this isn’t a big deal if you know exactly what you need. Be sure you order exactly what you need as they do have a restocking fee on returned orders.
